In order to support their members in the publication of Open Access journal articles, the university established a publication fund. Due to the initial funding by the DFG, a reliable structure to fund publication costs has been created. Fees for the publication of articles in genuine, quality controlled Open Access journals may be absorbed from the fund. Accompanying measures in the organizational, technical and legal fields ensure that scientists benefit from a service for the provision of their research results in Open Access.
