We will develop statistical methods to model and evaluate electrophysiological data including ion channel recordings with time-varying membrane potential or tension. We further aim to get precise insight into the resolution limit for estimating event times. Extending previous work on the effective dimensionality reduction of the configurational dynamics of membrane protein complexes, we will study the relation between collective protein dynamics and the dynamics of different individual lipids, which requires extension of partial least squares methodology to multi-dimensional time series.
