Information fusion for emotion and disposition recognition (C05)

Subproject C5 is devoted to the integration and classification of multimodal signals of different sensory input channels, particularly including different biosignals as well as symbolic information. This inherently uncertain information is fused and classified. The result of this information fusion process serves as a meaningful basis to assess the user’s state. In the focus of our research are flexible dynamic, recurrent, online-deployable architectures and their expansion to informed fusion schemes. Besides category-based affect recognition, real-valued estimates of dispositions and intensities of affective states will be included here. The evaluation and optimization of our methods take place in different data bases and demonstration scenarios in static and mobile environments.
