Project Details
Function of plant U-box type E3 ubiquitin ligases and ubiquitination in the regulation of PAMP-triggered immunity (B13 #)
Subject Area
Plant Biochemistry and Biophysics
Term
from 2009 to 2011
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 5484428
Plant U-Box type E3 ubiquitin ligases (PUBs) play an important role in the regulation of immunity. The main goals of this project will be to elucidate the pathways that are targeted by PUBs. In order to achieve this, we will identify PUB targets and characterize their function in immunity. Furthermore, we will analyze vesicle trafficking and endocytosis as a potential target pathway, and lastly, the genetic components of the enhanced resistance displayed by specific pub mutants.
