This proposal aims at the systematic construction of many-body entanglement measures for both pure and mixed quantum states. Similarly to measures that have been constructed by the applicant, the to-be-developed measures will be directly measurable in laboratory experiments. We target a hierarchy of measures that distinguishes qualitatively different classes of multi-partite entanglement, such as genuine n-partite entanglement, or entanglement of specific graph states. Besides their relevance for laboratory experiments, our measures also provide versatile tools for theoretical investigations, like entanglement dynamics in dissipative quantum systems and the innovation of control strategies for the generation of stable entanglement in open quantum systems.
