Project Details
Induction and breaking of immune tolerance in the liver (B02)
Subject Area
Gastroenterology
Term
from 2010 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 80750187
It is unknown how and why autoimmune liver diseases develop in the highly tolerogenic hepatic microenvironment. We have established a novel mouse model, which allows us to study key mechanisms of pathogenesis that are relevant for human autoimmune liver diseases. The results of these studies are expected to provide significant conceptual advance in understanding the elusive pathogenesis of autoimmune liver diseases and facilitate novel therapeutic approaches.
