This project is an extension of the competence centre for multi-parameter flow cytometry and cell sorting (FACS) and video-microscopy-based cell tracking. We will integrate single cell technologies that facilitate the investigation of the function, molecular composition and behaviour of individual cells, using flow-cytometry, single cell sequencing and sensitive protein detection methods. The combination of these technologies bridges the prospective isolation of marker-defined primary endothelial cells at functional and molecular level to unravel molecular cues governing their cell fate decisions in real time.
