Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

The investigation of the holotype of D. punctatum from the Lower Liassic of England has revealed differences in skeletal anatomy and morphology between it and the Upper Liassic specimens of so-called “D. punctatum” from S Germany and has thus confirmed that the Upper Liassic specimens represent a new, so far undescribed species. D. punctatum and other Lower Liassic species of Dapedium are in an urgent need of revision.
