Project Details
Role of the synaptic cell adhesion molecule Neuroplastin in the immune system: relevance for signaling and Ca2+ homeostasis during T cell development and activation (B08)
Subject Area
Immunology
Term
from 2010 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 97850925
This project will use conventional and inducible KO mice for Neuroplastin and plasma membrane Ca2+ ATPases to characterize the impact of disturbed Ca2+ clearance on T cell signaling and assess possible Ca2+-independent roles of Neuroplastin (collaborations with A04, A29N, B19 and Z01). Supported by projects B14 and A25, Nptn -/- T cells will be challenged in in vivo models for selected aspects of immune activation.
