The hybrid process which was developed in the first two funding periods will be developed further, with regards to the functionality of the overall jet engine system. This reproducibility of this process will also be investigated, and thus the resulting process reliability. Furthermore, the thermal barrier coating (TBC) will be integrated in this hybrid technology in the third funding period. Since it was shown in the second funding period that the aluminium impregnation was performed successfully by thermal spraying, it seems to be consistent to carry out the common heat treatment (brazing and aluminising) of the coating system filler-metal/MCrAlY/Al/TBC as a continuous process in a shielding gas furnace.
