The objective of Subproject B1 is the validation of hybrid elements developed up to now in lab-scale as segments in full-scale, also considering the production processes. Further, lining elements will successively be enhanced to create adaptive, multi-layered systems for the application in bed-rocks with large deformations. Elements will be configured in that way, that integrated compressi-ble layers, each with predefined load-deformation behavior, elude from ground deformations and subsequently from corresponding loads. These experimental studies will be performed in cooperation with numerical simulations in Subproject B2 on the material level just as on large-scale proto-types.
