Albrecht Ritschl's lectures on dogmatics from 1866/67 and 1881/82 will be synoptically edited, commented on and located within the landscape of theology. The edition will shed light on the theological development of Ritschl's thought in far greater detail than in any previous study. Furthermore, this edition will unearth the strong connection which exists between Protestant theology in Germany's imperial period and the subsequent eras, all the way until the end of the 20th century.
