The analysis of cellular events related to proteolytic activities is a focus of the CRC877. Platforms are provided for immune- and confocal microscopy, live cell imaging, advanced laser scanning microscopy, stimulated emission depletion (STED) microscopy, analysis of ultrastructure and immunogold imaging of cells and tissues by electron microscopy. This platform will be essential to broaden the technical feasibilities of the CRC877 and will allow to study function and cellular localization of proteases, substrates and modulators at different levels of resolution.
