The INF project supports SFB researchers in managing their data and publishing it to the scien-tific community and to the wider public. It will educate and enable SFB scientists in the efficient use of data infrastructures and professional data management tools, first and foremost the Virtual Observatory. By adhering to standards of long-term storage and usability of data, the INF project will reliably archive data and results of SFB 881 for at least ten years, even after the lifetime of the project or the whole SFB. It will maintain and operate internal and external communication infrastructures like public and internal websites and network applications for internal data sharing.
