The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) provides a structured educational program for all SFB-funded PhD students. The program includes (i) individual mentoring of every graduate student by a thesis advisory committee (TAC), (ii) a general study program to enhance the communication and collaborations between the members of IRTG, (iii) a seminar series with progress reports given by the IRTG students, (iv) annual retreats at a location outside of the university, (v) a biannual summer school, (vi) connections to the PhD and PostDoc Career Center Osnabrück (ZePrOs), and (vii) financial support to (future) PhD students on courses and scientific exchange programs.
