The goal of this project is the analysis of level and excursion sets of random fields with discontinuities and their applications in physics. We will calculate correlations of local curvatures and of tensorial valuations for Gaussian random fields and use it in cooperation with H.E.S.S. (High Energy Stereoscopic System) to analyse morphometrically sky maps obtained from Cherenkov telescopes. We will also investigate Minkowski functionals and support measures of paths of self-similar random processes and their convex hulls.
