Project Details
High-temperature strength and dimensional stability of C-bonded filter materials (C02)
Subject Area
Metallurgical, Thermal and Thermomechanical Treatment of Materials
Term
from 2011 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 169148856
In this subproject, the mechanical properties of uncoated and coated filters at temperatures up to 1500 °C will be investigated and analyzed with regard to longer loading times and damage. Furthermore, the residual strength after contact of the filters with molten steel will be determined. Furthermore, a new environmentally friendly binder system is to be used for the production of compact samples and filters. The fracture mechanical behaviour of the filter materials up to 1500 °C will be investigated on compact samples.
