The project studies energy-efficient wireless board-to-board communication at sub-THz frequencies with data rates of 100 Gbit/s. To enable high energy efficiency, we consider oversampled 1-bit channel output quantization. Here, we study signaling schemes in terms of achievable data rates, receiver algorithms for detection, synchronization and channel estimation, and low-latency joint source channel coding. Furthermore, techniques for interference mitigation are investigated. This is done by layout optimization based on the beampatterns of the antenna array and by means of resource allocation problems for wireless communications and HAEC relevant models for energy saving.
