Project A03's focus in the third phase is on the development and integration of novel relaying techniques into the overall HAEC architecture considering the limitations imposed by the 1-bit quantization and discrete beamforming hardware design as well as the requirements of the adaptive software. This requires the development of novel techniques and methods and goes far beyond a simple system integration task. This is mainly due to the fact that a change in the hardware model due to the design decisions of the hardware group also requires an adaptation of the system, signal and channel model.
