In Phase III, B01 tackles architecture, optimization and programmability of the HAEC system. One major task is the implementation of a self-optimization framework for Hierarchical Energy Control Loops with Contexts and Roles working for many layers of the HAEC Box. Another important aspect is the construction of a near-optimal, quasilinear heuristic to scale MQuAT, useful for run-time re-configurations within a time frame of 10 ms and more than 10000 components. Last but not least is the development of a method for improved programmability of HAEC that is able to optimize legacy source code applications that have not been written for the HAEC Box using the new technology of energy style sheets.
