Regulation of innate immune activation by high density lipoproteins (B11)

Subject Area Cell Biology
Term from 2011 to 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 5486231

We aim to analyze the mechanisms by which the membrane cholesterol content can influence the activation threshold of key immune signaling receptors by (I) analyzing the consequence of cholesterol modulation on receptor signalling; (II) assessing the influence of membrane cholesterol on the assembly of myddosomes using biochemical and ultrastructural analytical tools; (III) to decipher the trans-criptome responses of receptor signaling after modulation of membrane cholesterol content; and (IV) to define the consequences of cholesterol concentration manipulation on the development of inflammation in vivo.
