Final Report Abstract

In order to search for planets to A-type stars we searched the CoRoT data base for candidates, classified multi-object spectroscopy, from which a candidatie sample was isolated. Follow-up spectroscopy was carried out at several observatories to derive radial velocity curves and high-fidelity spectra for quantitative NLTE spectral analysis. A Jupiter-like planet was discovered for two candidates, the host stars, however, turned out to be early to mid-F stars. Six candidate exoplanets to A-type remain to be confirmed by complementing the observed data set. This number match exactly our expectation, if the frequency of such planets is the same as for G-type stars.
