Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

The interference analysis in the wireless ad hoc networks with stochastic spatial distributions has been the focus of the described part of the project research. Two basic distribution types of the stochastic distribution are considered: the Poisson point process and the cluster point process. To evaluate the properties of the stochastic spatial distribution a software simulator was developed by the authors. The simulator input parameters were chosen to mimic real wireless ad hoc networks. The obtained simulation results allow first conclusions. The increasing of the network node density brings additional interference. It is found that the interference for the Cluster Point Process (CPP) is lower but close to those of the homogeneous Poisson Point Process (PPP) case. More realistic scenarios suppose that the clustered networks will have higher density than the homogeneous ones. The transmit power attenuation within the cluster seems to be the first step to combat the interference. The more sophisticated communication schemes, e.g. cooperative information transfer, spatial diversity by means of MIMO and smart antenna techniques, as well as the smart reuse of the available bandwidth, are promising further improvements of the capacity of the wireless ad hoc networks with stochastic spatial distribution. The introduced simulator and toolset laying in the base of the simulator allows not only modeling the behavior of the PPP and CPP distributed uncoordinated networks, but also can be used for modeling cooperative data transfer schemes, e.g. relaying.
