Term
from 2012 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 182849149
The project aims at the chemical modification of transition metal-supported graphene to synthesize new materials with novel and tunable properties. It will address the covalent and non-covalent out-of-plane functionalization in a uniform or spatially-defined manner, and chemical reactions of covalently functionalized graphene layers. In addition, the formation and reactivity of metal cluster arrays on graphene, and reactions in the confined space under graphene will be investigated. Finally, the formation and characterization of new heterostructures, nanostructures and two-dimensional networks from designed precursor materials will be studied.
