The proposed project aims at indexing and cataloguing the papers of the Siegfried Unseld-archive, containing highly important sources for 20th-century literary and intellectual history. The second four years of the project focus on the papers of the editorial offices, including materials concerning the most influential book series (Bibliothek Suhrkamp, edition suhrkamp, suhrkamp taschenbücher), and the programming of international and academic series. Among the central correspondences are those of internationally distinctive authors and scholars such as Ulrich Beck, Hans Blumenberg, Paul Celan, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Jürgen Habermas, Peter Handke, Octavio Paz, Jorge Semprún, Mario Vargas Llosa.
