Project Details
Land use patterns in Jambi - quantification of structure, heterogeneity and changes of vegetation and land use as a basis for the explanation of ecological and socioeconomic functions (B05)
Subject Area
Forestry
Term
from 2012 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 192626868
The overall goal of B05 is to analyse spatial patterns of land uses and land transformations in order to identify areas of similar characteristics (strata) to prepare an analysis of relationships between landscape structures, functions and to identify driving forces for land transformation. B05 works on different scales at different levels of detail: (1) Jambi province, (2) Harapan restoration concession, (3) village / CRC core plots surroundings and (4) smaller landscape sections near to villages and to CRC core plots, where satellite imagery, drone imagery and field sample plots are analysed for landscape and resource characteristics and for modelling.
