Rare inherited immunodeficiency syndromes are often associated with an impaired recruitment of neutrophil granulocytes to the site of inflammation. We identified novel variants in genes controlling protein trafficking as genetic etiologies in children with primary immunodeficiencies. We aim to identify the cellular mechanisms underlying these immunodeficiencies using in vitro and in vivo models.
