Project Details
Molecular mechanisms of protein thiol oxidation in peroxide sensing and stress signaling (14)
Subject Area
Biochemistry
Term
from 2012 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 201348542
The project investigates the molecular basis for oxidative stress sensing and signaling. It will use novel technologies to obtain an in-depth understanding of the overall organization and composition of redox signaling complexes, i.e. how key components (sources, channels, transmitters, targets) are spatially and functionally connected to each other. It will also address the impact of H2O2 diffusion distance in peroxide sensing and signaling.
