The aim of the project is the automatic classification of tissue patterns in multimodal, radiologic images using novel machine learning methods. A key to success for this approach is the development of methods that allow the creation and optimized usage of large-scale training data collectives of sufficient quality. The developed methods provide an important input for the generation of assistance functions within the application projects. Furthermore, the better understanding of the image information allows for an optimization of radiological imaging.
