Functionalized surfaces and multilayer systems (B05)

In the second phase of subproject B05, polymer-compatible planar multilayers with customized optical functions and high durability will be implemented on the basis of the results of the first phase. Furthermore, the miniaturization and vertical integration of optically functional devices will be investigated. For the construction of complex networks, embedding of filter components, optical couplers as well as active components into the polymer foils will be carried out in an automatable and scalable manner on the basis of a modular principle.
