Subproject A2 deals with the design of self-adaptive communication systems. The goal is to achieve adaptivity by means of dynamic composition of modular network functionality. In phase III methods are developed to integrate foreign data plane programs into the own network and to execute own data plane programs in foreign networks. This allows for cooperative transitions, where the programmability of the data plane is used across networks. Since the functioning of networks is a cru-cial requirement for network providers, the methods developed in A2 must provide guarantees to the executing network. To do this, they must control and restrict the behavior of external programs accordingly.
