The aim of this project is to developp the important connection between Algebraic Geometry, Representations Theory and Theoretical Physics involved in Mirror Symmetry and Gromov-Witten Theory. The applicant's research recors already include connections between Representations Theory and Gromov-Witten Theory. He is an investigator of a French Researcher Group (funded by the ANR) which enabled young french researcher to developing Gromov-Witten Theory and Mirror Symmetry in France (other participants: S. Boissiere, P.-E. Chaput, A. Chiodo, E. Mann, and D. Zvonkine). The project presented here is a first step in the applicant's aim at settling Gromov-Witten Theory especially its Representations Theoretic aspects in Düsseldorf. We expect connections to nearby universities (Essen, Köln, Bonn, Paris).Especially the many expected generalisations of Gromov-Witten Theory to K-theory. Side activities like external experts invitations and a conference on Gromov-Witten Theory, Representations and Physics funded by the above ANR project and DFG Schwerpunktprogramm 1388 - Darstellungstheorie are planned.
