The aim of the project is the experimental investigation of the carrier dynamics at buried interfaces in semiconductor systems using different methods of ultrafast spectroscopy. We will study the initial charge transfer through the interface as well as the formation and decay dynamics of charge-transfer excitons. Special emphasis will be put on correlations between the morphology of the interface and the carrier dynamics on the different time-scales.
