The SPP needs a central budget to coordinate the scientific activities of all participants and stimulate their interactions by organizing structured platforms, to link the SPP with related national and international scientific activities and program projects, to sustain communication with the regulatory community and for exchange with the public. The coordinator of the SPP will establish a secretariat with the following tasks: ¿ Create and update a website with public and internal domains ¿ Coordinate and document regular conferences of the steering committee. ¿Coordinate activities of SPP research groups. ¿ Administration of central SPP activities and the associated central budget. ¿ Communication and correspondence with associated groups that do not receive research support by the SPP. ¿ Interact with the DFG and prepare of the second call for proposals. ¿ Coordinate and invite guest scientists, depending on nominations of SPP participants. ¿ Prepare workshops and courses together with local teams. ¿ Coordinate efforts to support young scientists within the SPP. Prepare an SPP symposium (once per funding period). ¿ Reporting of scientific activities, including preparation of press releases.
