The predominant simulation-based works in the first funding period have shown that Process Signatures can be set up for the analyzed processes. In the second funding period it is planned to systematically analyze the influence of the initial workpiece material state on the components of Process Signatures. This work will be fundamental to develop Process Signatures towards an industrial applicability where sequential machining processes and process chains are often utilized. Multi-scale simulations are necessary to include microstructural mechanisms in finite element simulations. By taking into account results from other sub-projects it is sought to develop a more general formulation of Process Signatures.
