Primary Shaping and Reshaping Technology, Additive Manufacturing
Term
from 2014 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223500200
In this sub-project, components of the Process Signature for two manufacturing processes with mechanical main impact are being developed. The investigations focus on deep rolling and grind-strengthening. From primarily mechanical external loads resulting internal material loads are investigated experimentally and analytically and are then correlated with the particular material modifications. So far, the first components of the Process Signature have been developed successfully. These investigations shall be extended with respect to multistage or sequential processing during grind-strengthening and deep rolling to consider the materials history in process sequences.
