Processes with thermo-chemical impact ((1) F07)

Subject Area Metal-Cutting and Abrasive Manufacturing Engineering
Term from 2014 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223500200

This sub-project focuses on the investigation of Process Signatures within process sequences consisting of individual laser-based manufacturing processes with thermal and thermo-chemical impact. Therefore, the evolution of signature components during the process sequences will be characterized with the aim to describe and analyze the correlations between cumulative and unchanged material modifications. Process sequences with controllable sub-surface properties will be developed and will then be applied to mechanically hard rolled samples in cooperation with F06/Grinding. Subsequently, the fatigue behavior of these samples will be studied to enable a prognosis on a functional lay-out of process sequences.
DFG Programme CRC/Transregios
