Project Details
Role of Ena/VASP proteins in vessel branching and vascular repair (A08)
Subject Area
Anatomy and Physiology
Term
from 2014 to 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 75732319
We have demonstrated an important role of the Ena/VASP proteins in leukocyte-endothelial cell communication, angiogenesis and vascular repair. However, underlying molecular mechanisms and the role of the Ena/VASP proteins in pathologic conditions, such as atherosclerosis, are elusive. Here, we aim to determine the molecular mechanisms and the physiological relevance of Ena/VASP-regulated receptor trafficking and guidance cue signalling in angiogenesis and atherosclerosis.
