Project Details
Control of vascular guidance by apelin signalling (A11)
Subject Area
Anatomy and Physiology
Term
from 2014 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 75732319
The major aims of this project are to decipher the mechanisms of Apelin signalling during angiogenesis. To achieve these goals we plan to use the zebrafish model for high resolution live imaging in combination with loss-of-function mutants for the Apelin receptors and ligands. By analysing the transcriptome and proteome of human and mouse endothelial cells deficient for the Apelin receptor, we also aim to identify downstream effectors of Apelin signalling.
