The fourth part (volume 4 and 5) of "Inscriptions of the Late Period" covers the inscriptions of the 26th dynasty (664-525 BC) as well as the texts in abnormal hieratic. As in the previous volumes, they are arranged according to the succession of kings, i.e. Psametik I (Ch. 53), Necho II (54), Psametik II (55), Apries (56), Amasis (57), and Psametik III (58). These six chapters form the first volume. The second volume contains the inscriptions of the God's Wives of Amun and their officials as well as all those texts which can confidently be assigned to the 26th dynasty but not to a specific ruler. There are again substantial indexes including museum-collection numbers, names of kings and non-royal persons, and regnal years.
