Project Details
Multiscale modelling of the damage and fracture behaviour in nanostructured laminates (A06)
Subject Area
Mechanics
Term
from 2014 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 138690629
The aim of this subproject is the development of continuum mechanical material models in order to predict the damage and fracture behavior of the coating systems being developed in the collaborative research center. To this end, a viscoplastic anisotropic damage and failure model with gradient extension for finite deformations is to be developed which is able to reproduce the experimental observations of other subprojects. This so-called macroscopic model is complemented by a microstructural model. The calibration and validation is carried out in cooperation with several experimental subprojects based on various mechanical tests on the micrometer scale.
