Project Details
Sanitizable Cryptography (P02)
Subject Area
Theoretical Computer Science
Term
since 2014
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 236615297
The goal of the project is to investigate possibilities to monitor and sanitize content that is protected by a cryptographic wrapper such as encryption. This is to be achieved in a controlled and verifiable manner. For example, a cloud service provider should be able to verifiably update encrypted data with a proof to the client that the update has indeed correctly taken place. Another use case is the detection and isolation of malicious content in symmetrically and asymmetrically encrypted files.
