Within CROSSING, the IRTG provides a structure to aid doctoral researchers in their career development. Important aspects to achieve this goal are qualification of doctoral researchers, quality assurance of doctoral studies, reliable supervision combined with academic independence, internationalization, and promotion of equal opportunities. The CROSSING IRTG supports collaborations within CROSSING, helps doctoral researchers to quickly adopt to their research environment and to successfully complete their doctorate, and increase their career chances in academic and non-academic environments.
