Time Domain Analysis of the Coupling of Stochastic Electromagnetic Fields into Transmission Line Structures

Subject Area Electronic Semiconductors, Components and Circuits, Integrated Systems, Sensor Technology, Theoretical Electrical Engineering
Term from 2015 to 2024
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 261804593

The research project serves to investigate the coupling of stochasticelectromagnetic fields into electrical and electronic assemblies, devicesand systems in the time domain. During the project, some already existing analytical andanalytical-numerical calculation methods in the frequency domain areextended into time domain in order to take into account nonlinear loads.Furthermore, a simulation model for the stochastic field coupling intosimple systems (e.g. terminated lines) in the time domain will be developed. The simulation models are validated by measurements in a GTEM cell as wellas in a reverberation chamber. The obtained results can help to establish more efficient and exact methodsand environments for electromagnetic compatibility tests.
