Kinetic investigation and parameterization of elementary chemical steps and submechanisms (B04)

The aim of the subproject is the kinetic and thermodynamic characterization of chemical elementary steps in the gas phase and, based on this, the establishment and validation of reaction mechanisms for phosphorus-containing flame retardants. In addition to investigations of the principal reaction behavior of phosphorus-containing compounds at high temperatures in the presence of fuel and oxygen, the chain termination reactions, which are currently only insufficiently characterized, will be investigated kinetically and thermodynamically. The reaction mechanisms serve as a basis for subsequent model reduction.
