Reduced kinetic models for combustion processes close to walls (B06)

In this subproject, detailed kinetic models for chemically reacting flows in boundary layers and their influ-ence by flame retardants are reduced. For this purpose, the REDIM method is adapted, extended, refined and applied. The extension refers to the inclusion of heterogeneous reactions with a flame retardant polymer. The simulations with detailed and reduced kinetics are validated with experimental results and provided for efficient simulations of the overall process with very accurate reproduction of the detailed kinetics.
