In the fourth funding period, the Specialised Information Service Performing Arts (FID DK) of the Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library intends to consolidate and optimise its infrastructure measures and services for research in theatre and dance studies. The FID DK plans to pursue the following specific topics (ST) in this funding period: ST 1 Research-related data work: expansion of the data services of the FID DK as a research-related service through the expert aggregation and curation of qualitative data for the performing arts and authority data work within the GND cooperative. ST 2 Information infrastructure & portal architecture: Consolidation and optimisation of the FID portal as the central information infrastructure on the basis of an improved modular portal architecture for the integration and expansion of services. ST 3 Provision of resources and collection discovery: Sustainable provision of specialist literature and e-resources to performing arts researchers as well as information on performing arts collection holdings using the example of theatre programme collections. ST 4 Public Relations & Evaluation: Development of the role of the FID DK as an intermediary and service provider for researchers and GLAM institutions; strengthening the role of the FID DK as a key intermediary for communicating subject-specific requirements within interdisciplinary information infrastructures, such as NFDI4Culture, and in the overall FID system. Additionally, the evaluation of the FID DK services with the aim of further improvement and consolidation.
