The work of the research training group is directed to the models and methods of spatial statistics, its applications in natural sciences, technology, and computer science as well as the feedback of these applications to form a new application-orientated theory in mathematics and the partner sciences. The main emphasis is on stochastics and physics. The program accompanies and supports young researchers and specialists during the progress of their thesis in order to improve their individual knowledge by offering interdisciplinary contacts. The program includes seminars, lectures and colloquia on special research projects, involving distinguished scientists.
