The research training group at the Dresden University of Technology has the following goals:-- Opportunity to attain the doctorate in the field of sensor technology,-- research concerning physical fundamentals, design, technology and application of sensors for mechanical quantities, sensors for radiation in the visible and the infrared spectral range and electrochemical sensors,-- research work in overlapping fields like sensor signal processing, modelling, and simulation,-- overlapping graduation of graduates in the overall field of sensor technology,-- experience exchange and co-operation of the professorships which are involved in the Graduiertenkolleg,-- common elaboration of scientific fundamentals for industrial sensor design in small- and medium-sized enterprises,-- common use of high standard technological equipment's and devices,-- strengthening of the scientific topic "sensor technology" at the Dresden University of Technology.
