Project Details
Ventricular arrhythmogenesis by ion channel remodeling after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) (A01)
Subject Area
Anatomy and Physiology
Term
from 2015 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 236177352
Ventricular arrhythmias are cause and prognostic marker of increased mortality early after AMI. Using an unbiased experimental approach (next generation sequencing) combined with optical mapping and mathematical modeling, loco-regional changes in expression and function of ionic conductances will be analyzed, which result in electrical instability of the injured myocardium. They will be target for exploring the therapeutic potential of innovative photopharmacological strategies for spatiotemporal modulation of ion channels.
